Speedify’s Pair & Share Cellular Sharing Feature: Settings
This article covers the settings available in Speedify's Pair & Share feature. Pair & Share lets Speedify users on the same local network wirelessly share and combine LTE, 4G, and 5G cellular connections back and forth between devices, giving everyone a faster, more reliable connection.

Device Lists
Unpaired Devices
These are Speedify users on your local network that you haven't paired with yet. Tap any device in this list to send a pairing request and start using Pair & Share between the two devices.
Paired Devices
These are devices you've already paired with. You can see each device's current status, including whether Speedify is Sharing to, Receiving from, or both Sharing and Receiving with that device. Tapping any paired device opens the connection menu for that specific device. For details on those options, see Pair & Share Connection Settings.
Settings
Display Name
This is the name other Speedify users will see when they scan for devices to pair with. Your display name is never sent to Speedify's servers or any third party. You can also use emojis in your display name.
Sharing
This toggle controls whether your device shares its 4G/5G cellular connection with other devices on the same local network. This option is only available to mobile users (Android and iOS) who have a cellular data plan that includes tethering. Keep in mind that any internet traffic shared with other devices counts as tethering or hotspot data on your cellular plan.
Receiving
This toggle controls whether your device looks for other devices on the same local network that are sharing their 4G/5G cellular connection and uses that shared data.
Pairing Requests
This setting determines how Speedify responds when another device tries to pair with yours for the first time. There are three options:
- Ask (Default): Speedify prompts you each time a new device attempts to pair, so you can approve or decline.
- Automatically Accept: Speedify always accepts any incoming pairing requests without prompting you.
- Ignore: Speedify does not respond to pairing requests. You won't be notified, and other devices won't be able to share or receive from your device.
Pair My Devices
When enabled, Speedify automatically pairs your device with other devices signed into your Speedify account that are on the same local network.
Paired Data Usage
This section shows a breakdown of the data your device has exchanged through Pair & Share:
- Shared: The amount of data your device has shared with other devices.
- Received: The amount of data your device has received from other devices.
Show on Dashboard
This toggle controls whether the Pair & Share banner and its connections appear on your main Speedify dashboard. Turn it off to keep the dashboard view clean if you don't need to monitor Pair & Share activity at a glance.
