Can I combine Starlink Internet and my iPhone connection on my Windows PC? Yes, Speedify can help!

This article explains how to use Speedify on a Windows PC to combine your Starlink Wi-Fi connection with a USB-tethered iPhone 4G/5G cellular connection for faster upload and download speeds and a more reliable internet connection.

What You'll Need

  • A Windows PC connected to a Starlink Wi-Fi network
  • An iPhone with an active cellular data plan that includes Personal Hotspot
  • A USB cable to connect your iPhone to your PC
  • iTunes installed on your Windows PC (required for USB tethering drivers)
  • The Speedify app installed on your Windows PC

Let's Get Started

Step 1

Make sure your Starlink equipment is set up according to the instructions included in the package. This includes powering on the dish and connecting your Windows PC to the Starlink Wi-Fi network.

To connect, click the Wi-Fi icon in the lower-right corner of the taskbar (system tray). If Wi-Fi is off, click the Wi-Fi tile to enable it, then select your Starlink network from the list and enter your password.

Step 2

Enable Personal Hotspot on your iPhone so it can share its 4G/5G cellular connection with your PC over USB.

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular > Personal Hotspot (or Settings > Personal Hotspot on some carriers) and toggle it on.

Note: If you don't see the Personal Hotspot option, contact your carrier to confirm your plan supports it.

For more details, see Apple's Personal Hotspot support page.

Step 3

Connect your iPhone to your Windows PC using a USB cable. USB tethering requires iTunes.

  1. Download and install the latest version of iTunes if you don't have it already.
  2. Plug your iPhone into your PC with a USB cable.
  3. If your iPhone shows an alert asking "Trust This Computer?", tap Trust.
  4. Open iTunes and confirm your iPhone appears in the Devices list on the left side of the window.

Once connected, your iPhone should automatically share its cellular connection with your PC. To verify, click the network icon in the lower-right corner of the taskbar, your iPhone should appear near the top of the network list as a wired connection.

If your PC doesn't recognize your iPhone, try a different USB cable. If iTunes still doesn't detect it, open Device Manager > Other Devices > iPhone, right-click, and select Update Driver > Search Automatically.

Step 4

Download and install Speedify on your Windows PC if you haven't already. Once Speedify is running, it will automatically detect both your Starlink Wi-Fi connection and your tethered iPhone cellular connection and begin combining them.

Did you know - Speedify's Pair & Share feature lets you share your device's 4G/5G cellular connection across multiple devices wirelessly, which is especially useful at event venues, remote locations, or anywhere Wi-Fi is slow or unreliable.
