Can I combine Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and cellular connections on my iPhone? Yes, with Speedify!

This article explains how to use Speedify to combine your iPhone's 4G/5G cellular connection, a Wi-Fi connection, and an Ethernet connection at the same time for faster upload and download speeds and a more reliable internet connection.

What You'll Need

• An iPhone with an active 4G/5G cellular data connection
• A Wi-Fi network or hotspot
• An Ethernet cable and an available Ethernet port (on a router or modem)
• An Ethernet-to-Lightning adapter (or an Ethernet-to-USB-C adapter for newer iPhones)
• The Speedify app installed on your iPhone

Step 1

Make sure your 4G/5G cellular data connection is turned on. Tap Settings, then tap Cellular, and flip the switch to on.

Step 2

Connect your iPhone to a Wi-Fi network as the second connection. Tap Settings, then tap Wi-Fi, and flip the switch to on. Select a network from the list. Private networks will ask for a password.

Step 3

Add your Ethernet connection as the third internet connection. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into a router or modem, and the other end into your Ethernet-to-Lightning adapter. Then plug the adapter into your iPhone's charging port.

To confirm the connection is active, go to Settings and check that Ethernet appears in the list. For the best results, use a different upstream network for your Ethernet connection than the one your Wi-Fi connection is using. For example, connect Ethernet to one router and Wi-Fi to a separate router.

Step 4

Open Speedify on your iPhone. Speedify automatically detects all of your active internet connections. You should see all three connections listed: cellular, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet.

Speedify will immediately begin combining those connections, routing your internet traffic across all three at once for faster upload and download speeds. If one connection weakens or drops, Speedify seamlessly shifts your internet traffic to the remaining connections so your calls and streams stay uninterrupted.
