Can I use Wi-Fi and Cellular at the same time on iPhone? Yes, Speedify can help!
This article explains how to use Speedify on your iPhone to combine your Wi-Fi and cellular (mobile data) connections for a faster, more reliable internet connection. Using both networks simultaneously allows Speedify to maintain stable connectivity even if one connection becomes weak or drops out.
Requirements
Before you start, make sure you have:
- The latest version of Speedify installed from the App Store.
- Both Wi-Fi and mobile data connections available on your iPhone.
Step 1: Connect to Wi-Fi
- On your iPhone, open Settings.
- Tap Wi‑Fi.
- Select and connect to your preferred Wi‑Fi network.
- Confirm that the Wi‑Fi icon appears in the status bar at the top of the screen.

Step 2: Enable Mobile Data
- Return to Settings.
- Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data).
- Toggle Cellular Data on.
- Confirm you see signal bars and a mobile‑data indicator (e.g., 4G, LTE or 5G).

Your iPhone can only use one internet connection at a time by default. This is where Speedify steps in.
Step 3: Open Speedify and Combine Connections
- Launch the Speedify app.
- Sign in to your account if you haven’t already.
- On the main Speedify Dashboard, you’ll see both connections listed:
- Wi-Fi
- Cellular
Speedify will automatically combine your Wi-Fi and cellular connections using its channel bonding technology, improving speed and reliability.
If one connection fails (for example, if Wi-Fi disconnects), Speedify seamlessly reroutes traffic through the other connection without dropping your session.
Step 4: (Optional) Adjust Connection Settings
You can customize how Speedify handles your connections:
- Tap the Connection you want to manage.
- By default, the Priority will be set to Automatic. You can change this and set both connections as Primary, and Speedify will use both connections at the same time which will increase performance.
You can also set Data Limits for your cellular connection to help avoid exceeding your plan.
For more details, see Connection Settings.
How Speedify Combines Connections
Speedify operates as a bonding VPN (Virtual Private Network). It encrypts your traffic and sends it through multiple internet connections at once to a Speed Server. This ensures:
- Increased Speed: Speedify combines bandwidth from all available networks.
- Automatic Failover: If one connection drops, Speedify keeps you online using the other.
Improved Reliability: Great for video calls, streaming, and live broadcasts.

Step 5: Verify Speedify Is Working
To confirm Speedify is combining your connections:
- Check the Speedify Dashboard. Both Wi-Fi and Cellular should display connected.
- Run a Speed Test within Speedify from the Performance Test section in the menu, or using speedtest.net.
See Testing Speed in Speedify for more information.
