Speedify Streaming Prioritization Overview
This article explains how Speedify's Streaming Prioritization feature works and how you can add custom streaming destinations to make sure your most important internet traffic gets priority treatment across your bonded connections.
How Speedify Streaming Prioritization Works
Speedify already includes the most common streaming destinations, such as Twitch and YouTube, and prioritizes their internet traffic automatically when you're using Enhanced Streaming mode.
For any streaming destination not covered by default, you can add it manually through the Streaming Prioritization settings. This lets you specify which URLs, domains, IP addresses, and ports should receive priority treatment across your bonded internet connections.
What You Can Add
You can add streaming destinations in three ways:
- Ports: Add TCP or UDP ports for streaming services to prioritize. Common streaming ports include 1935 (RTMP) and 1936 (RTMPS).
- IP Addresses: Add the IP addresses of streaming servers you want to prioritize. Internet traffic sent to these IPs will be marked as high priority.
- Domain names: Add streaming URLs or domains to prioritize. You can paste a full RTMP URL like
rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2and Speedify will extract the domain automatically.
Let's Get Started
Step 1
Open Speedify and go to Settings.
Step 2
Under Session Settings, select Streaming Prioritization.
Step 3
Add your streaming destination by entering a port, IP address, or domain name. If you paste a full RTMP URL, Speedify will pull out the domain for you. Once added, internet traffic to that destination will receive priority across your bonded connections.
