Speedify’s Pair & Share Cellular Sharing Feature: Connection Settings
This article explains the connection settings available for Speedify's Pair & Share feature, which lets you wirelessly share and combine LTE, 4G, and 5G cellular connections between devices on the same local network.
When you pair with a device that's sharing a connection with you, that connection shows up alongside your other connections in Speedify. You can click on that connection row to view its settings and usage statistics.
Connection Details
These fields give you a snapshot of the shared connection's technical information.
- IP Address: Shows the IP (Internet Protocol) address and transport mode currently in use on this connection.
- Network Name: The name of the cellular connection being shared or received.
- Internet Service Provider: The name of the internet service provider for the shared or received connection.
- Adapter Name: The friendly name for this adapter (the paired device name and connection type).
- Adapter Description: The technical name of the adapter on the other device, primarily useful for troubleshooting.
Permissions
These settings control what Speedify can share and use between paired devices.
- Share to this Device: Enables or disables sharing your connection to the selected paired device.
- Use this Device's Shared Connection: Controls whether your device uses the shared connection from the paired device.
Priority
- Only Use as Backup: When enabled, Speedify will only use this shared connection if no other connections are available. You can learn more about how Speedify handles connection priority here.
Paired Data Usage
This section tracks how much data has moved across the Pair & Share connection.
- Shared: The total amount of data your device has shared with other paired devices.
- Received: The total amount of data your device has received from other paired devices.

Show on Dashboard
This setting controls whether Pair & Share connections are visible on your Speedify dashboard.
- ON: Shows Pair & Share connections on the dashboard.
- OFF: Hides Pair & Share connections and the Pair & Share banner from the dashboard.
