Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network from macOS

This article walks you through how to connect your Mac to a Wi-Fi network. Once your Mac is connected to Wi-Fi, Speedify can use that connection, along with any other available connections, to give you faster upload and download speeds and a more reliable internet experience.

Let's Get Started

Step 1

Click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar, then choose your network from the list. If Wi-Fi is off, click the Wi-Fi icon and select Turn Wi-Fi On.

By default, the Wi-Fi icon appears in your menu bar. If you don't see it, go to System Preferences > Network and check Show Wi-Fi status in menu bar.

Step 2

Enter the network password, then click Join. If you don't know the password, contact your network administrator.

Step 3

To confirm the connection, go to System Preferences > Network. Your Wi-Fi network connection should show a Connected status on the left side of the window. Your Mac is now set up and ready to use that Wi-Fi connection.
