Speedify Update Guide for macOS
This article explains how to update Speedify on your Mac, whether you installed it from the Apple App Store or downloaded it directly from the Speedify website. Keeping Speedify up to date ensures you get the latest performance improvements and security fixes.
Let's Get Started
Step 1: Find Out How You Installed Speedify
If you're not sure which version you have, open the App Store and search for Speedify. If it shows an "Open" button, you installed it through the App Store. If it shows "Get," you're using the version downloaded from the Speedify website.
Updating the Mac App Store Version
Step 1
Open the Mac App Store on your Mac.
Step 2
Click Updates in the left-hand sidebar.
Step 3
Find Speedify in the list of available updates and click Update. If Speedify doesn't appear, it's already on the latest version.
Updating the Website Version (.dmg)
Step 1
Go to the Speedify downloads page and download the latest version of the macOS installer (.dmg file).
Step 2
Open the downloaded .dmg file. A window will appear showing the Speedify app icon.
Step 3
Drag the Speedify icon into your Applications folder. When prompted, click Replace to overwrite the existing version. This completes the update.
