Improving Streamlabs Streaming with Speedify
This article explains how to get better live streaming performance from Streamlabs by using Speedify to combine multiple internet connections and reduce dropped frames.
Let's Get Started
Step 1: Enable Enhance Streaming Mode in Speedify
Before you open Streamlabs, make sure Speedify is set to the right bonding mode. Open Speedify and set the Bonding Mode Speed with Enhance Streaming toggled ON.
This mode maximizes the speed and reliability of your streaming internet traffic by intelligently switching between bonding and redundancy across your available connections.
See Enhance Streaming Mode for more details on how this mode works.
Step 2: Choose the Right Output Resolution in Streamlabs

In Streamlabs, go to Settings > Video and check your Output (Scaled) Resolution. If you're on a mid-range or lower-end PC, lowering this resolution can reduce the upload load and result in fewer dropped frames during your stream.
Step 3: Set the Right Bitrate for Your Upload Speed

In Streamlabs, go to Settings > Output and adjust your Video Bitrate. Use the following as a guide:
- 720p at 30 fps (frames per second): 2,500 to 4,000 kbps (requires 3.2 to 5 Mbps upload)
- 720p at 60 fps: 3,500 to 5,000 kbps (requires 4.4 to 6.2 Mbps upload)
If your single connection doesn't reach these speeds reliably, Speedify can combine multiple internet connections to increase your total upload speed. See How to Add Internet Connections on PC or How to Add Internet Connections on Mac.
Step 4: Choose the Right Broadcast Server

In Streamlabs, go to Settings > Stream and select the ingest server closest to your location. Streaming to a geographically closer server reduces latency and improves stream stability.
For best results, also connect to a Speedify server in the same country. See Speedify Servers for details on choosing your server location.
What a Difference Bonding Connections With Speedify Makes
The screenshots below show streaming stats from the same setup, with and without Speedify running. In this test, one Wi-Fi connection was used without Speedify, and two Wi-Fi connections were bonded together using Speedify (via a USB Wi-Fi adapter).
Without Speedify - 17.3% dropped frames, bitrate averaging around 429 kb/s:

With Speedify - dropped frames down to 2%, bitrate up to 2,976 kb/s:

Still Having Streaming Issues?
If you're still running into problems after following these steps, try one of the following:
- Streams getting disconnected despite good upload speeds? Switch Speedify to Redundant Mode to send your stream over multiple connections simultaneously for added reliability.
- Seeing a lot of packet loss? In Speedify's session settings, try changing your Transport Mode to UDP, TCP, or TCP Multiple.
Did you know - Speedify's Pair & Share feature lets you share your internet connections with other devices running Speedify on the same local network without additional hardware. Learn more about Pair & Share.
