Speedify for Teams Overview

This article explains what Speedify for Teams is, what it includes, and who it's designed for. If you're evaluating Speedify for your organization or just getting started, you'll find everything you need to know here.

What Is Speedify for Teams?

Speedify for Teams gives everyone in your business access to channel bonding and connection redundancy, along with tools to manage them all from one place. There's no minimum number of users, so you can start with a single team member and scale up or down as needed.

Any remote worker stands to benefit from Speedify, whether they're working from home, on the road, or at a satellite office with a slow DSL or 3G internet connection. It's especially useful for people who rely on real-time apps like VoIP, video conferencing, remote desktop software, or live streaming.

Speedify for Teams works across Android, iOS, Windows, Linux and macOS.

What You Get with Speedify for Teams

Speed

Speedify lets your team bond multiple Ethernet, Wi-Fi, 4G/5G cellular or Satellite connections together to get the combined upload and download speed of all of them. For example, you can use three different LTE modems on separate carriers to send a stable video stream from anywhere, or pair a DSL connection with a 4G/5G cellular connection to get reliable connectivity at a remote office.

Stability

Speedify's bonding also makes your internet connections more reliable. If one connection drops, Speedify automatically moves your sockets to another connection, so your apps never notice a problem. In Redundant Mode, Speedify sends each data packet over all available connections at once, so even if one drops suddenly, you don't lose a packet. This makes it a great fit for mission-critical VoIP calls.

Security

Speedify is also a secure VPN (Virtual Private Network). All of your internet traffic is encrypted using DTLS encryption, a fast, standards-based protocol.

Teams Dashboard and Account Management

Speedify for Teams includes a centralized web console, the Teams Dashboard, where you can manage user accounts, handle billing, and view statistics, all in one place.

100% Uptime SLA: Speedify guarantees 100% uptime for Teams subscribers. If there's ever an outage, you receive one day of free service for every hour of downtime. Submit an SLA request with the outage time, and the credit will be applied to your account.

Additional Options

Speedify for Teams also gives you access to several optional features depending on your needs:

  • Dedicated Speed Servers: Speedify can create and manage dedicated servers in the cloud for your organization. This is useful for professionals who need a guaranteed service level. See Speedify Dedicated Servers for more details.
  • Self-Hosted Servers: Run your own private Speedify server infrastructure on any cloud provider or physical hardware you control. See Speedify Self-Hosted Servers for more information.
  • Port Forwarding and Static IP Addresses: When combined with a Dedicated Speed Server, you can run internet-accessible services on your computers while routing their internet traffic through a Speedify bonded connection.
  • API and Command Line Integration: Speedify provides APIs and command-line tools on every supported operating system, so your apps can interact directly with Speedify. For example, your video streaming app can confirm that Speedify is connected to your private server before it starts a stream.
  • REST API for User Management: Use the Speedify for Teams REST API to write scripts that add users, check active sessions, and push settings to your team.
