Speedify Router License Overview
This article explains what a Speedify Router License is, why router devices require their own license, and how to find the right plan for your setup.
What Is a Router License?
A Speedify Router License is a stand-alone subscription that lets you run Speedify on an OpenWrt, GLiNet or Powered by Speedify router device. Router devices cannot use a standard Speedify license, because a single router can represent many devices on its network and may route terabytes of internet traffic per month through the Speedify Servers.
You do not need a separate individual subscription to purchase a Router License. That said, you can hold both a Router License and a regular Individual, Families, or Teams subscription on the same account if you want to use Speedify across all your devices.
Included with every Router License: When you purchase a Speedify Router License, you also receive a complementary Speedify for Individuals Monthly license. This companion license renews every month at $0 for as long as you keep your Router License active, and lets you use Speedify on up to 5 other devices running Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, or Android.
Available Plans
Speedify Router Licenses are available in two data tiers, each offered on a monthly or yearly recurring basis:
- 1 TB (terabyte) per month
- 3 TB per month
You can browse and purchase all Router License plans on the Speedify Store.
When Do You Need a Router License?
You need a Speedify Router License if you are running Speedify on either of the following:
- An OpenWrt router with Speedify installed
- A GLiNet router with Speedify installed
- A Powered by Speedify router sold by a third-party vendor
