Maximum Number of Supported Connections in Speedify
Speedify lets you combine multiple 4G/5G, Ethernet, Wi-Fi or Satellite connections at the same time for faster upload and download speeds. This article explains how many connections you can use simultaneously and what determines that limit.
How Many Internet Connections Can You Use With Speedify?
There is no built-in limit on how many internet connections you can combine with Speedify at the same time. You can use as many connections as your device has access to, as long as your device's hardware can support them.
In practice, this means you can combine Wi-Fi connections, 4G/5G cellular connections, wired Ethernet connections, Satellite connections and more, all at once.
Take a look at these videos where we demonstrate combining multiple connections:
- 10 connections on a laptop:
- 15 connections on an iPad:
What Limits the Number of Connections in Practice?
While Speedify doesn't impose a software cap, a few real-world factors affect how many connections your device can handle:
- Hardware support: Your device needs to have the physical interfaces (Wi-Fi cards, cellular modems, Ethernet ports, etc.) or compatible adapters to connect to multiple networks.
- CPU and system resources: Each active connection requires processing power. Older or lower-powered devices may see performance impacts when combining a large number of connections.
What Types of Connections Can You Use?
Speedify works with a wide variety of internet connection types. To learn more about which connections are compatible, see What Types of Internet Connections Can I Use With Speedify?
Did you know - Speedify works on routers too, so every device on your network can benefit from faster upload and download speeds without needing to install anything on each device individually. Learn more about Speedify for Routers.
