Speedify Bypass Overview
This article explains how Speedify's Bypass feature works and how to enable or disable it for streaming services and other websites that block VPN connections.
How Speedify Bypass Works
Many streaming services, including Netflix, Disney+, HBO, Hulu, Peacock, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube TV, actively block connections that come through a VPN. Normally, the only way around this is to disconnect from the VPN entirely, leaving your other internet activity unprotected.
Speedify Bypass solves this by letting you route specific services directly from your device, bypassing the VPN tunnel, while keeping the rest of your internet traffic encrypted and protected through Speedify.
Keep in mind that Bypass does not give you access to content from other countries or regions. It simply allows you to use these services without disconnecting from Speedify.
Enable Bypass
When Speedify detects a connection attempt to a streaming service or other site known to block VPNs, a suggestion will appear on your Speedify dashboard. Tap the circle next to the service you want to bypass.

Once you accept, internet traffic to and from that service will go directly from your device, bypassing the VPN. All other internet traffic remains encrypted through Speedify.
Manage Bypass Settings
You can enable or change Bypass for any service at any time by going to Settings > Bypass in the Speedify app.

Remove a Service from the Bypass List
In the Speedify app, go to Settings > Bypass and uncheck any service you want to route back through the VPN.

Turn Off Bypass Suggestions
If you don't want Speedify to suggest Bypass for services on your dashboard, go to Settings > Bypass and toggle the Bypass Suggestions switch to the OFF position.

Disable Bypass Entirely
Toggling the main Bypass switch to the OFF position will send all your internet traffic back through Speedify, including any services that were previously bypassed.
Custom Bypass
Starting with Speedify 15.9, you can add any URL, IP address, or port to the Bypass list directly from the Speedify app. This was previously only available through the Speedify command line interface (CLI).
To add a custom entry, go to Settings > Bypass > Custom Bypass. From there you can add:
- Domains: Any website URL you want to route around the VPN.
- IP Addresses: Specific IP addresses you want to send outside the VPN tunnel.
- Ports: Specific ports you want to route around the VPN tunnel.
