Uninstalling Speedify on a Windows PC

This article explains how to completely uninstall Speedify from your Windows PC.

Let's Get Started

Step 1

Open the Windows Control Panel and navigate to Programs > Uninstall a program (on Windows 10/11, you can also go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps).

Find Speedify in the list, select it, and click Uninstall. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the removal.

You should see a confirmation once Speedify has been successfully removed from your PC.

If Speedify Doesn't Appear in the Control Panel

Step 1

If Speedify isn't listed in the Control Panel, you can run the uninstaller directly from the Speedify installation folder. Open File Explorer and navigate to one of the following paths, depending on your version of Windows:

  • 64-bit Windows: C:\Program Files\Speedify
  • 32-bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Speedify

Step 2

Inside that folder, locate and double-click Uninstall.exe. Follow the on-screen prompts to finish removing Speedify from your PC.

If Speedify Fails to Uninstall

If the uninstaller runs but Speedify still won't uninstall, another program on your PC may be blocking it. In that case, try uninstalling from Safe Mode, which starts Windows with only the essential processes running.

Step 1

Boot your PC into Safe Mode using the instructions for your version of Windows:

  • Windows 10 or 11: Go to Settings > System > Recovery > Advanced startup and select Restart now. On the next screen, choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart, then press 4 or F4 to start in Safe Mode.
  • Windows 7: Restart your PC and press F8 before the Windows logo appears. Select Safe Mode from the Advanced Boot Options menu.
  • Windows 8 / 8.1: Restart your PC, then press and hold Shift while clicking Restart. Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart, then press 4 or F4.

Step 2

Once in Safe Mode, return to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program and try uninstalling Speedify again. With third-party programs no longer running in the background, the uninstaller should be able to complete successfully.
