What operating systems does Speedify run on?

The Speedify desktop software requires one of the following:

  • macOS 10.15 and above - natively supporting both Intel and ARM based Mac computers, such as those with the new M1 and M2 chips, including MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro, iMac and iMac Pro, Mac Mini, and Mac Pro.
  • Windows 10 and above - on x86_64 and arm64 architectures
    • Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and 32bit Windows 10 are no longer supported.  Speedify 12.2.2 is final release with support for these operating systems.  On June 1, 2024, this version will stop working, customers should upgrade to a modern version of Windows before this date. 
  • Linux:  
    • Ubuntu 18.04+, 
    • Raspberry Pi OS (Buster or later), 
    • These distributions are supported on 32-bit or 64-bit ARM processors, and on 64 bit AMD/Intel processors. This includes Raspberry Pi and laptops and servers running Ubuntu. Speedify on Linux supports both the full user interface and a headless mode where it is controlled via the speedify_cli. Note that Speedify does not currently support the OpenWRT or DD-WRT distributions or MIPS processors.
